The Danish networks of Business Angels will host their joint annual meeting in June on the 25-26th. The meeting will take place in Odense in cooperation with DanBAN, Keystone, Odense Seed & Venture, Business Angels Syddanmark, Danske Bank, Vækstfonden, Deloitte and Mazanti-Andersen Korsø Jensen

8.30 – 9.00: Registration and breakfast (coffee/the & croissants)
9.00 – 9.20: Welcome by Jesper Jarlbæk, Chairman of DanBAN
9.20 – 9.45: Neil S.W. Murray, Founding Partner of the Nordic Web
Trends in Early stage Startups in the Nordics
Neil will share trends in the Nordic startup eco-system and investment scene based on The Nordic Web Funding Analyses. He will discuss what to look for in the next investment and why the Nordics is an interesting area – being British, he still focuses on the Nordics when investing himself, and he will reveal his reason for this.
9.45 – 10.10: Anette Nordvall, Early stage Tech Investor and Environmentalist, Sweden
Sustainability as a main Investment focus for the 2020’ies
Anette shares her experiences with cross-boarder investments including her criteria for investing and non-negotiables. We will learn how she takes an active role as a Business Angel in the development of her portfolio companies in spite of the distance to the team. She also shares her enthusiasm for her most recent investment in “We don’t have time” and her thoughts on the sustainability agenda.

10.45 – 11.10: Risto Rautakorpi, Managing Partner of Gorilla Capital, Finland
Maximizing the probability of an Exit
Risto points out that 80% of all tech exits happen to companies that have never raised an A round. The most typical exit is an early stage trade sale for less than €20 million. Gorilla Capital – an “institutional Angel” – has built their whole investment thesis and highly developed processes around that opportunity.
11.10 – 11.35: Lars Fløe Nielsen, Co-founder Sitecore
The story of a Danish Unicorn
Lars will tell us the Sitecore story. Lars co-founded Sitecore in 2001 and the company started it’s globalization and opened in USA in 2004. Today, Sitecore is recognized as one of the Danish Unicorns which has obtained international success. Lars will share his learnings and perspectives on the success criterias and especially on what would have killed the company underway. He will also share his views on how a Business Angel can add the most value to a startup.
11.35 – 12.00: Business Angel Awards 2019
Presented by Helge Munk, Business Angel of the year 2018. Nordic Angel Program by DanBAN closing the deal on stage.
12.00 – 14.00: Matchmaking and light lunch
Facilitated matchmaking to create even more networking opportunities for our participants representing startups/SMEs and Investors. The Matchmaking will take place in between the Angel Investor Meetup and Odense Investor Summit in Odense Congress Center.
NOTE: Odense Investor Summit will be held in the afternoon from 2pm the same day, same place, same conference room. Come and get inspired but please note separate registration. See below under partner events.
